Having more friends

I realized recently i have around me people who i care about and who care about me…but is this friendship? i always thought a friend means so much more, having that connection, sharing everything, being able to understand what he feels and feeling understood…
by now, it`s all i had..maybe in time i`ll get an answer to my question…
